October 3, 2018 (DAYTON, OHIO) — Larry Hansgen, local celebrity and WHIO Radio personality, will be working in the month of October to raise money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for their Real Men Wear Pink campaign.

“My wife, Laura is a breast cancer survivor.  However, we both lost our dear friend Carol to this disease and have other friends who are currently fighting for their lives. Breast cancer affects everyone – it doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman. That’s why I’m stepping up to fight breast cancer with all I have. Since I’m in a position to make a difference within my community, I believe I have an obligation to do so. By raising money and awareness through Real Men Wear Pink, I’m helping to save more lives from breast cancer,” said Hansgen.

Real Men Wear Pink participants agree to raise at least $2,500 for the cause and funds are used to raise awareness and support for breast cancer initiatives, including innovative research, patient services, and education around screenings and risk reduction.
