August 28, 2018 (DAYTON, OHIO) — K99.1 FM (call letters WHKO) has been nominated as a finalist for a CMA Award in the Medium Market category for Station of the Year.

“K99.1FM is honored to be recognized by the Country Music Association with a nomination for Medium Market Radio Station of the Year. Every person on our staff believes in what we do: playing the best and newest country music, concert ticket and cash giveaways and — most important — giving back to the Miami Valley. We are very proud to support local charities and causes. But none of this would be possible without our loyal listeners. So this CMA Station of the Year nomination is really for them, our entire K99.1FM family.”

WHKO was one of only five stations to be nominated as a finalist in this category nationwide. Winners will be notified prior to and honored on ABC-TV‘s Nov. 14 telecast of the 52nd Annual CMA Awards.

The Country Music Association heightens the awareness of Country Music and supports its on-going growth by recognizing excellence in the genre, serving as a repository for critical and timely information and communication, while providing a forum for industry leadership dialogue toward its goals.
