DAYTON, OHIO (August 3, 2018) — The United Way is partnering with Neighbors Helping Neighbors, WHIO-TV and the Greater Dayton RTA to host their “Stuff the Bus” event to gather school supplies for area after-school programs in need on August 3rd from 5:00-9:00 during Art in the City on Courthouse Square.

Crowds will already be gathered downtown for Art in the City, a downtown Dayton event featuring visual and performing arts, and the United Way is featuring their school supply drive as part of the overall event.

Cox Media Group is donating thousands of dollars worth of school supplies, part of which were raised through an employee supply drive, and will be live with Kate Bartley of WHIO-TV from 5:00-6:30 covering the event and asking viewers to consider a donation.

“This program will do so much for kids in our community and we are happy to be promoting and donating to helping their school year start off on the right foot,” said Emily Broughton, Community and Public Relations Manager at Cox Media Group.

The RTA has donated the use of one of their buses, with the hopes of stuffing it full of school supplies to donate to area schools.
