DAYTON, OHIO (January 2, 2018 ) — As the record breaking frigid cold hits the Miami Valley, the WHIO school and business cancellation center is now active. This means the region has one location to get the list of everything delayed or closed. The list is updated constantly and it’s advised that you check before heading out to be sure your event is still on.
http://www.whio.com/weather/closings/ is the location to bookmark and check often.
In addition, WHIO Radio will be covering the cold weather on Miami Valley’s Morning News as we detail school closings and temperatures at the bus stops. “For the safety of your children, it’s important to know what’s going on with the cold weather so as usual we plan on updating the weather every 6 minutes on WHIO Radio,” said Jeremy Ratliff, Program Director for WHIO. Jeremy also explained how Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini will be in the studio on TV during News Center 7 daybreak starting at 4:25AM and WHIO Radio live throughout the morning to help people get through the cold snap of 2018.
WHIO-TV is on Channel 7, WHIO Radio is on AM1290 and News 95.7FM. All of these brands are Cox Media Group properties.
