K99.1FM’s Nancy Wilson and James “Frye Guy” Frye have been nominated for the Country Music Association Awards: Medium Market Personality of the Year by the Country Music Association.
The CMA Broadcast Awards are among the most prestigious awards given in the field of country radio.
There are five other medium market radio shows nominated in this category. Winners will be telecast on The 51st Annual CMA Awards, Nov. 8.
“For Frye Guy and me to say we’re honored to receive a nomination for the CMA Medium Market Personality of the Year isn’t quite enough,” Wilson said. “We are beyond honored. We are thrilled, elated and over the moon for this first nomination for both of us in this category.”
“We owe it all to our listeners for tuning in every day, the amazing country music we get to play and all the other members of the K99.1 FM family, on the air and off. We want to continue to make the Miami Valley proud they’ve chosen K99.1FM as their radio station.”
Vice President of Marketing Nick Roberts added: “I’ve worked with Nancy and Frye for many years and I can truly say that no other morning team I’ve ever encountered does more charity work for the community. They have a great show, but the real truth is that they’ve dedicated countless hours to charitable causes. Their efforts contributed to raising over 3 million dollars for Dayton’s Children’s Hospital.”
